Poor predictability of coloring effect. Color masterbatch is used for coloring. The pigments of general color masterbatch will show different colors in different plastics, so the predictability of coloring effect is poor;
Affect other properties of plastic products. In particular, the strength is affected, and the product is easy to deform and twist, which has a more obvious impact on engineering plastics;
The cost is relatively high. In order to be "universal", general color masterbatch often selects pigments with higher heat-resistant grade, resulting in waste.
From the perspective of product performance, it is best to use the same material as the base material, which has good compatibility, but each manufacturer cannot make color masterbatch by itself, which is also very troublesome. Therefore, it generally depends on the performance requirements. Those with high requirements can use the same base material, and those with low requirements can use general base materials.
